Our youngest Lijit team member is really enthusiastic about our release last week. Just wait till she sees the features coming out next week! :) (If the video doesn’t display for you, here’s the direct link.)

And so sets the Mountain Sun release…

Last night we pushed our latest release, Mountain Sun, into production. (Mountain Sun is a great eatery in Boulder, Colorado, btw. If you ever find yourself in the Boulder area, you should check it out.) The Mountain Sun release contained a hodgepodge of things – some small enhancements, some bug fixes, and a couple new features.

The first new feature is that we’re now showing the “My Blog” tab (along with the existing My Content, My Network, and Web tabs) for searches done from www.lijit.com. Previously, we were only showing the My Blog tab when a search was performed from a blog. We decided to change our minds about that rule… because we can…and now it’s “My Blog” tabs for everybody! (Well, at least for the everybodies who have a blog associated with their account in Lijit. If you don’t have a blog, we won’t show that tab.) This change allows searchers to benefit from all of your goodness, regardless of from where they search you.

The second new feature is that we’ve added Re-Search information to your stats page. (We launched the Re-Search feature in our last release.) If you have Re-Search enabled, you’ll see its stats displayed in the summary section at the top of the stats page and we’ll stack it on top of regular searches in your Number of Searches bar graph. If you don’t have Re-Search enabled, we still show you the stats just so you can see what you (or, technically, the people who arrive at your blog from a search) are missing!

And don’t forget, we always love to hear from you. If you have feedback about these new features or any other features we’ve released, send it to us!

Sorry Wordpress.com Users, we’re trying, really!

We get emails all the time from Wordpress.com users saying they want to add the Lijit Wijit to their blog. We had no problem getting all hooked up at Typepad. They were glad to have more options for their publishers. But so far we haven’t cracked the code with Wordpress yet.

The last email we got back from them essentially said as soon as we were “cool kids” they would consider us. This is all too eerily similar to my high school experience, and with the prom approaching I’m hoping we get a date soon.

Until then, we work with every other platform in the world so give them a try. Or if you are a happy Wordpress.com user shoot them an email and say we are cool. Until then we are hanging out at the mall texting each other.

Look where Lijit has landed…

It’s official. If you look for us here

you’ll be able to pick us out from this list…

and easily put our wijit on your Typepad blog.

In addition, we are featured here:

It brings us much joy to know that Lijit is being accepted into the realm of Widget Galleries. (Now if they would only make us happier by changing their spelling to wijit!)

Search your experts from Firefox

A cool feature of Firefox is that you can add new search engines to the search box in the upper-right. An even cooler feature is that with Lijit, you can add your friends and experts as search engines. Here’s how mine looks right now:

To add someone, just go to their Lijit profile page, click the little down-arrow button on the search bar, and select the “Add” option at the botom of the list.

Here’s me adding Platinum Blonde, this week’s featured Blogger:
