Lijit likes hamburgers and BBQ gatherings. See, we’ve even blogged about it before with one of our favorite publishers, I Can Has Cheezburger and the rest of the epic sites in their Cheezburger network.
With that being said, you can imagine our surprise when we discovered May 28th is National Hamburger Day. That’s right, a day to celebrate the juicy goodness of a hamburger.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Recently, it came to our attention there has been a malicious site that may be attempting to mimic Lijit.com and collect publisher login information.
We have contacted the Domain Registrars as well as the appropriate authorities as a precautionary measure. We will be sending this update to each of our publishers via e-mail and once the issue has been resolved, we will post an update.
These screenshots are from the malicious site – this site is NOT www.Lijit.com – Please do NOT give this site your username or password.
We want everyone to be assured, there is no action needed on your part – this is just a precautionary note to keep you informed as we believe in transparency and taking care of our publisher network.

When Tom arrived at Lijit, we called him “The Bobs” from Office Space because he stepped in to help build and create more process, organization and flow on the operations end. Since then, we stopped calling him “The Bobs” and with great candor, has stepped up to the plate as our VP of Operations. Can you say patience?

I have the pleasure of overseeing the Lijit Operations team – a fantastic group of people who provide incredible support and service to our Publishers and Ad Sales team in the field.
What is your least favorite word and why?
Cornhusker. Do you really need to ask why?
What is your favorite sound and why?
Kid’s laughing – that’s a consistent “favorite sound” chart topper.
What profession, other than your own, would you like to attempt and why?
Director of Finance. Why? Because, Mark Chessler makes it look like something out of a Bond movie.

We like to promote green and sustainable behavior, after all, we’re in the heart of Boulder, Colorado one of the country’s greenest cities.
With that being said, recently our friends at the Boulder REI donated water bottles for Lijit employees to use with our new water filtration system. With our stellar new water bottles, we’re planning on cutting down on all the waste, recycling and dishes in our offices. There are many reasons to stop drinking bottled water, all of which, help to save our environment and conserve.
Big shout out and thanks to the Boulder team at REI and store manager, Ali Bennett for providing the water bottles. See, look at how happy it makes us!

Over the last year, Lijit has focused and grown our advertising services enormously which of course, includes our fantastic sales team. We now have five members around the country, focusing on sales to bring relevant, premium ad campaigns to our publisher network. Aimee, is one of our newest hires and with her witty charm and love for handbags, we’re happy to have her on the team as our Midwest Sales Director based in Chicago.

If I could do anything, other than sales, I would build a machine that allows for the transfer of energy without the loss of energy.
