It’s that time again – where we give our our friends, fans and publishers an inside look at our amazing team members here at Lijit. This week, we’re introducing one of our Senior Software Engineers: Nick or as we commonly call him, NerdyNick (hey, we didn’t start calling him that) just check his blog (http://nerdynick.com/) and tweets.

Not only is Lijit HQ in downtown Boulder, but if you combine all of our employees we boast a group of cyclists, marathon runners, skiers, snowboarders and health food aficionados. It’s safe to say, we’re big fans of our Earth, as are our amazing publishers.
Here’s what some of our publishers are writing about on Earth Day:

A relationship-builder by nature, when I first joined the Publisher Recruitment Team here at Lijit Networks, the first thing I wanted to do was connect Lijit with an online community that was close to my own heart -20 Something Bloggers.

Shelly came to us at just the right time. Ben needed help with the mound of support tickets that were burying him and Lijit needed more women on the team. Basically, a win-win for everyone involved. But especially us…since Shelly brings a positive attitude, mad baking skills and the knowledge to solve just about any technical problem put in front of her.

It seems that over the past few years, there has been an explosion of crafty folks who have started blogging and sharing their expertise (whether it’s stamping, scrapbooking, painting or general craftiness) in the online space. We’re happy to have seen many of those crafting bloggers sign up with Lijit and are continually amazed at their skills. One that we couldn’t let slip by without further focus is Kelly.

Kelly writes a blog called, appropriately enough, Kreations by Kelly that documents her many crafting experiences. Although she’s become slightly famous for her sock monkey creations, she also makes bracelets, quilts, children’s clothing and best of all, beer koozies. But in addition to being talented in the arts, she’s also a smart cookie. I mean, she’s using Lijit on her blog, after all. Let’s see how blogging has helped Kelly to spread the word of her creations.
Lijit “Don’t call in sick to work because we’re all going” Ski Day 2010
Apr 5th
by Tara Anderson in Company
Last Friday, we, as a company, all hit the slopes. A day spent shredding on slightly-icy snow is probably the second best company team-building activity ever invented. (This is only surpassed by skiing some sweet pow-pow together.)
Really…is there anything better that seeing your co-workers bundled up and tearing down the mountain?
Like I always say, the company that skis together…
Eats lunch together in the lodge?
And takes a break from the slopes by drinking a beer together in the lodge?
And then drinks beer together once they’ve returned to town in a company-sanctioned happy hour?
It’s obvious that we had a VERY productive Friday together as well.
And that we enjoy each other outside of work.

Following in the footsteps of Filtrbox and SurveyGizmo, we’re proud to continue the tradition of sharing with you fantastic local companies. Please meet Trada. In addition to recently announcing $2.2 million in funding, they are located a few short blocks away from the Lijit World HQ and, more importantly, they’re the first company to apply the expert crowdsourcing model to paid search.

We had one of the longest release cycles in the history of our company come to a close last week. Named after an office favorite, the Q*bert release is live and with it, a few new things that you might be interested in…

Our Team page has been redesigned and updated to reflect the growing nature of our company. In addition to adding some new folks to the mix, we’re highlighting the executive team and VPs while displaying all the other peeps underneath. Take a minute to check it out if you’re at all curious about who makes this cool stuff possible.
Elaine was the first “real” salesperson that we hired here at Lijit and she’s been rocking the position ever since. From sharing her fashion sensibilities and her love of Asians to bringing in million dollar deals, Elaine has done a great job of fitting in with the Lijit culture. She’s cool enough to pull off futuristic jackets AND backwoods camping–all while looking cute and cracking jokes. Plus, she used to teach yoga which means she can bust moves like this in the office…

Mar 22nd
by Grace Boyle in Community
We first met Jerod Morris over a year ago through his prolific and entertaining sports blog, Midwest Sports Fans. He installed Lijit and quickly became one of our self-processed Lijit evangelists. Soon after, he implemented Lijit on Dallas Sports Fans and his newest venture, How-To-Blog.TV, a great resource for blogging tips and how-to’s.
Jerod has been blogging for over five years, he personally maintains 5 blogs and professionally, he serves as the Director of Blogging and Social Media for Orangecast, a web marketing firm in Dallas. Needless to say, he is someone you should get to know. He’s everywhere.
