Lijit - Sr. Software Engineer

Lijit Networks, Inc. has an immediate need for a Sr. Java Developer. As a member of the core engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing the next generation of our Internet Services.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Senior/Expert - level knowledge of object-oriented programming with Java
  • Experience developing distributed applications
  • Experience developing multi-threaded applications
  • Strong team-oriented skills including SCM, Revision Control, Defect tracking, and collaboration tools
  • Strong Linux development experience is preferred
  • Comfortable working in a small-team, fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Ability to deliver on-time, well-tested modules
  • Ability to write clean, well commented, modular code
  • BS/MS in C.S. or related degree (or equivalent experience)
Additional "nice to have" skills:
  • Apache/PHP
  • Non-blocking IO experience
  • MySQL experience

Lijit - Ad Operations and Trafficking Specialist

Lijit Networks is looking for an experienced Ad Trafficker that has a background in ad campaign management as well as the ability to problem solve, analyze quantitative measures, and optimize performance of ad campaigns. This is a fast-paced and data-intensive position. It involves real-time reporting and optimization techniques that leverage multiple data points across many data sources. The successful candidate will have passion for using information to clearly understand the factors that contribute to positive partner, campaign, and publisher-level advertising media performance.
 
Responsibilities
  • Day to day management of ad campaigns as well as ad partners, including campaign trafficking, targeting, pacing, optimization, and reporting
  • Manage start to finish campaign process, tracking pixels and troubleshooting any operational issues
  • Provide excellent customer service for our Publisher Recruitment team, clients and partners
  • Pre-emptively identify and address ad operations issues that adversely affect performance
  • Manage performance test results and communicate with publisher team
  • Look for ways to convert complex manual activities into repeatable and scalable processes
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of ad trafficking experience using online ad servers such as Doubleclick, OpenX or similar ad serving technology
  • Experience with ad trafficking, de-bugging, data collection, working with standard ad specifications, ad tag placement, and ad optimization platforms
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Analytical skills with an established approach to quantitative analysis
  • Exceptional spreadsheet skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate quantitative numbers into recommended actions
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, start-up environment
  • Organized with ability to work on multiple projects effectively
