Media Optimization Specialist
Job Description
If you love financial problem solving, are excellent at statistics, and can see things in numbers that others cannot, then this is the perfect role for you. Analyze the trading-data and performance across many different advertising campaigns and data variables and then make strategic decisions designed to optimize and improve financial results. The successful candidate will have passion for leveraging information to help accurately and clearly understand the factors that contribute to positive partner, campaign, and publisher-level advertising media performance.
Responsibilities
- Analyze partner, campaign, and publisher-level effectiveness (ROI) utilizing internal and external analytics tools to make strategic recommendations to improve advertising media performance and efficiencies
- Consult and advise advertising and trading partners on performance improvement and partnership expansion opportunities
- Conduct statistically valid A/B tests at the partner, campaign, publisher and ad chain-levels of performance to enable management to better understand the positive (and, negative) drivers of performance
- Work with management and internal product teams to expose relevant performance optimizations to both our publishers and partners
- Apply optimization strategies to campaigns in the Demand Side Platform and monitor and track the impact of the optimization updates
- Compile accurate and timely campaign performance and reports for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Business and/or financial optimization experience with large data sets in real time environments such as Online Advertising, Financial analysis, Trading, or Data Analysis
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an analytics role or related degree in business administration or statistics
- Advanced Excel skills, including but not limited to: VLookup, Pivot Tables and Conditional Formatting
- Extreme attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing optimization, analysis and reporting strategies
- Familiarity with DSPs such as MediaMath, X+1, Turn and Invite Media and/or experience with Ad Exchanges such as AdMeld, ContextWeb, AdX, RMX and Pubmatic is definitely a plus.
