Building your network within Lijit is critical to getting the most out of the service. A great way to get started is by inviting your friends to join the fun.

Inviting friends is easy, just follow these steps:

1. When logged in, click the link found in the Lijit website header to Invite Someone.
2. Enter the email address of the person you’d like to invite.
3. Enter a description for the person – tell us how you know them. Note that this description will display for others to see. You may add or change it later, if you like.
4. Enter some subjects in which you trust this person. If they know a lot about digital cameras and photography, you might enter (in a comma-separated list, please), “digital cameras, photography, photos, cameras”. These subjects help Lijit and our informers search for (and find) this person later. You can add or change these subjects later too.
5. Though we provide a default email subject and body text, feel free to customize them to your liking. It’s sometimes helpful to replace your username (which we insert automatically) with your real name, such that the recipient actually knows from whom the email is coming.
6. Click to send the invitation, behind the scenes we’ll include a link your recipient can click to create their account, and then we’ll ship your invitation off!

When that person joins, we’ll display a notification to that effect on your Lijit List homepage. You’ll also see them listed in the trusts block on the right-hand side of your profile page.
